ANALYSIS OF CONDITIONS FOR THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GEOMECHANICAL INFLUENCE ON THE BOREBOTH ZONES OF WELLS

The work analyzes the conditions under which the geomechanical impact on the bottom-hole zones of wells, called geo-loosening or geo-crushing and carried out by creating deep depressions on the formation, will be most effective. The effectiveness of geomechanical impact on the formation rock is due to the process of formation of a system of highly permeable cracks in the bottomhole zones of wells, which increases the productivity of production wells and the injectivity of injection wells. It is shown that when conducting laboratory studies of the strength properties of rock samples, one should not proceed from the conditions of rock destruction in areas of stress concentration in the near-wellbore zones, such as the vicinity of perforation channels, since these stresses are localized in thin layers (1-2 mm) around the channels. It seems most rational to determine, on high-pressure laboratory benches, the conditions for fracture formation that correspond to sufficiently large distances from the wellbore, which will facilitate the development of shear cracks that form in the rock even after the cessation of geomechanical action. It is shown that the constant factor that determines the concentration of stresses at the outer boundaries of such shear cracks and promotes their growth is the difference between vertical and lateral rock pressures in the formation. It has been established that in experimental studies of the strength properties of rock samples, the magnitude of the lateral load on them should be determined not by the Eaton formula, based on the assumption of elastic deformation of layers under the influence of the weight of the overlying rock mass, but should take into account the creep property of rocks, which manifests itself on geological time scales and leading to a significant increase in lateral rock pressure in the formations.Based on the analysis, it was concluded that when designing geomechanical effects on formations, it is most rational to proceed from the condition of achieving rock strength limits in a depression funnel at a sufficiently large distance from the wellbore, taking into account the real relationship between vertical and lateral rock pressures, which can be determined using data obtained from the application of fracturing technology in a given field.
