EVALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION PARAMETERS OF THE TILENGA-EACOP PROJECT PIPELINE SECTION AT CROSSING WITH WATER BARRIERS BY HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

The aim of the work is to evaluate the construction parameters during horizontal directional drilling at the intersection with water barriers in relation to the TILENGA-EACOP project. In this work, the authors analyzed two existing methods for calculating the parameters of a pipeline in the construction: The Russian method according to РД 91.200.00-КТН-0226-20, and the Catenary method of AGH University of Science and Technology (Krarow). The advantages and disadvantages of these existing methods were revealed, resulting to significances of horizontal directional drilling construction projects. Proposals were formulated to evaluate these methods in the Tilenga-EACOP project. When evaluating the calculation results, the proposed РД 91.200.00-КТН-0226-20 method turned out to be more accurate than the Catenary method when constructing at the intersection with water barriers. This article is devoted to the design of a horizontal directional drilling trajectory in two-dimensional space having a combination of straight and curvilinear sections for both РД 91.200.00-КТН-0226-20 method, and the Catenary method.
