FORECASTING THE FREQUENCY OF DAMAGES LEADING TO LEAKAGES IN PIPELINES OF VARIOUS DIAMETERS
The article is devoted to the analysis and forecasting of the frequency of occurrence of damages of different sizes in pipelines of different diameters. The presence of an optimal relationship between the diameter of the hole leading to a hydrocarbon leak and the diameter of the equipment in which the leak occurred is revealed. As a result of the optimization, it is shown that in the presence of an inverse power relationship between the diameter of the equipment and the diameter of the leak hole, the frequency of occurrence of hydrocarbon leaks from various equipment can reach a minimum. A forecast rule for expecting the minimum frequency of leaks in equipment for transportation and pumping of hydrocarbons.
