FROST-RESISTANT LUBRICANTS MADE FROM PURIFIED WASTE OILS

The article considers the possibility of using ultrafiltration to clean used engine oils and manufacture frost-resistant lubricants from them. The advantage of ultrafiltration, as one of the options for baromembrane separation processes, is the compactness of the hardware design, low energy consumption, environmental cleanliness, and the possibility of installation in waste accumulation areas. The purification of waste oils is carried out using tubular ceramic or polymer ultrafiltration membranes by the tangential flow method. According to the results of the study, a pilot ultrafiltration plant based on ceramic tubular membranes with a capacity of 400 tons per year was manufactured, which was tested and showed high readiness for implementation in the organization for the regeneration and disposal of used oils. A frost-resistant lubricant based on purified waste oils, silicone oils and a ureate thickener has been synthesized.
