INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO IMPROVING THE SAFETY OF GAS DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS BASED ON THE USE OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Currently, due to the increase in gas transportation volumes and high requirements for the safety and reliability of pipeline systems, the problem of ensuring the safety of gas distribution networks is becoming increasingly urgent. The presence of a significant percentage of accidents caused by factors such as pipe defects, external and internal corrosion, mechanical damage, emphasizes the need to find new solutions to improve the performance characteristics of gas pipelines. In this context, special attention is paid to the study and application of new materials and technologies that can increase the service life of pipelines and minimize the risks of accidents. The paper discusses the application of composite materials to enhance the safety of gas distribution networks. The study focuses on the analysis of statistical data on gas pipeline accidents, evaluation of the strength and gas impermeability of composite pipes with a distributed gas barrier, as well as a technical analysis of their application in operational conditions. The results confirm a significant increase in the safety level of gas transport systems with the use of composite technologies.
