STUDY OF THE POSSIBILITY OF USING CHLORELLA VULGARIS FOR THE TREATMENT OF PHENOL-CONTAINING WASTEWATER

The article is devoted to current issues of post-treatment of phenol-containing wastewater using microalgae Chlorella Vulgaris. The aim of the study is to develop a method for removing organic pollutants from wastewater using the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris. The object of the study was a suspension of the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris. 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol was used as an organic pollutant. Samples were prepared for gas chromatography using the liquid extraction method. The results of the studies showed that the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris are capable of transforming 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol, which makes it possible to use them for additional wastewater treatment.
