The effect of tensile stress on magnetic properties and magnetic domain structure of Fe-based amorphous alloy

Fe-based amorphous alloys are widely utilized in electrical equipment such as motors and transformers, where the core structure is frequently subjected to significant mechanical stresses during operation. To design energy-efficient devices, it is essential to understand the magnetization behavior of amorphous alloys under stress. This study employs a magneto-optical Kerr microscope and a high-frequency magnetizer with a stress application module to investigate the effects of stress on the magnetic properties and domain structures of amorphous alloys. Magnetic properties of annealed and as-cast amorphous alloys were analyzed by varying frequency and tensile stress, with domain images captured of each sample. These findings provide insights into the microscopic magnetic behavior of amorphous alloys under stress, and contribute data and theoretical support for hysteresis models.
