Polyoxometalate Initiated In situ Conformal Coating of Multifunctional Hybrid Artificial Layers for High Performance Zinc Metal Anodes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 10/2025)
Zinc Metal Anodes In article number 2412577, Ho Seok Park and co-workers present a multifunctional organic/inorganic composite coating layer where polyoxometalate acts both as a Lewis acid initiator for 1,3-dioxolane (DOL) polymerization and a chemical-bridge between the Zn metal anode and ion-conductive poly(DOL) layer. This 40 nm-thick interface has a great impact on facilitating preferential Zn (002) crystal plane growth and exhibiting a highly reversible cycle stability.
