Photovoltaic-Powered Electric Mobility Solution for Wheelchair Users in Challenging Terrains

Accessibility remains a significant challenge in recreational, tourism, agricultural, and industrial areas, especially for wheelchair users. Traditional wheelchairs often struggle with sandy terrain, limiting access to these locations. Additionally, the dynamic nature of environmental factors and human activities leads to constantly changing landscapes, further complicating accessibility. To address these issues, this paper proposes a solar-powered electric traction vehicle specifically designed to facilitate wheelchair access, mobility, and independence in such environments. The article presents the design and operation of the vehicle, including its autonomy, electronic design, and control mechanisms, supported by simulated results.
