Trajectory-tracking Control of Electric Wheelchair by Cascaded Time-scale Transformation*

Trajectory-tracking control is essential for the automatic operations of automobiles. However, the convergence performance depends significantly on the velocity of the desired trajectory. This study introduces a design method that has a vehicle path independent of the desired velocity using a cascaded time-scale transformation. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed through actual experiments using an electric wheelchair.

Abstract

Trajectory-tracking control is essential for the automatic operations of automobiles. However, the convergence performance depends significantly on the velocity of the desired trajectory. This study introduces a design method that has a vehicle path independent of the desired velocity using a cascaded time-scale transformation. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed through actual experiments using an electric wheelchair.
