Influence Analysis of Actuator Position and Control Parameters in Self-Sensing Damping System Using Piezoelectric Elements
The bandwidth of the feedback control system must be designed sufficiently high to achieve a precise servo system. Vibration suppression using self-sensing actuation (SSA), which simultaneously uses the sensor and actuator functions of the piezoelectric element, is an approach to overcome this problem. However, the placement of actuators/sensors and control system design significantly affect the vibration control performance. This paper reproduces and evaluates the effect of the piezoelectric element position on the SSA control system through a simulation utilizing multi-body dynamics software.
