Novel non-dissipative loop resonance soft-switching DC-DC Converter for HEV Gate Driver Power Supply
Zero-current, zero-voltage transition (ZCZVT) converter is designed to minimize the stress on semiconductor devices by operating under soft-switching conditions, which not only extends the life of these components but also improves the efficiency of the system. The non-dissipative nature of the resonance-loop in this new converter allows for stable output voltage regulation across a broad range of loads and input voltages. This feature is particularly beneficial for applications such as gate-driver power supplies in hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) power systems, where reliability and efficiency are paramount. The experimental validation of a converter operating between 60-600V/15V, with a current range of 30300mA, and achieving an 18% increase in overall efficiency compared to a traditional hard-switching converter.
