Memory Response in an Elasto-Thermodiffusive Nonlocal Half-Space under Mechanical Damage

The current work explores the thermoelastic diffusion for a homogeneous half-space with a permeating material that is in contact with the boundary plane. In the framework of nonlocal elasticity theory, the constitutive relations for the current problem have been formulated upon considering the mechanical damage. By absorbing the memory-dependent derivative, the present medium’s heat transport equation has been created while accounting for the Moore–Gibson–Thompson generalized heat equation within a slipping period. The half-space’s bounding plane is thermally shocked as directed and is traction-free. The chemical potential on the bounding plane is also assumed to be time-dependent. Laplace transform has been used to solve the governing equations while the inversion of the Laplace transform has been carried out using the method of Zakian. The numerical computation have been performed for various values of damage parameter to reveal significant effect of various parameters such as nonlocal parameter and time-delay parameter and the effect of various kernel function have been studied. It has been shown that the nonlocal parameter exhibits significant effects apart from the macroscopic theory. Also, notable effects of various kernel of the heat transport mechanism is outlined.
