The maximum output power of a wave energy conversion device under heave motion and study on the matching of optimal damping

This paper deals with the problem of the maximum output power of wave energy device under heave motion and the setting of the corresponding optimal damping coefficient under the maximum output power. Firstly, the force analysis of float and oscillator is carried out in the static state, and then the motion of float and oscillator is analyzed in the heave motion. Newton's second law is used to establish the second-order ordinary differential equations based on displacement and time, and the ode45 function in MATLAB is used for numerical analysis. MATLAB genetic toolbox is used to optimize the twoparameter solution, and the results are obtained under the given parameters: damping coefficient is 8.0871e+04, exponential power is 0.336761734932593, and the final maximum output power is 246.0627W. Finally, the sensitivity of damping coefficient to the parameters is tested, and it is found that the sensitivity is very sensitive under about six combined parameters.
