Dielectric Response of Insulating Film for Lithium-Ion Battery Over Broad Ranges of Frequency and Temperature
Li-ion batteries have been introduced into high voltage energy storage, and the insulating film of battery may be exposed to overvoltage from transmission lines. Therefore, the dielectric properties of insulating film should be carefully studied. In this research, the dielectric response of insulating film over broad ranges of frequency and temperature is investigated. The contributions of three loss peak polarization processes are decoupled based on Dissado-Hill model. The temperature dependence of loss peak is studied by two different approaches, and the activation characteristic is revealed accordingly. The distinction between activation energies indicates the difference of relaxation type.
