A TENG Finger Sensor Enabled Human-Machine Interface for VR Applications
A wireless, triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) sensor enabled handle-like human-machine interface (HMI) is proposed to capture finger motions and manipulate game objects in virtual reality. By utilizing advanced signal processing methods including logarithmic transform and integration, peak-like TENG signals are transformed into stage-like signals to achieve continuous control. Haptic feedback supported by vibrators can bring better game experiences to players. Finally, a gesture recognition system based on processed sensor signals is also developed to categorize 10 common gestures.
