Impact of Different Fading Scenario on TDMA-Hybrid NOMA

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is being broadly accepted as a potential candidate to enhance spectrum utilization beyond 5G mobile communication. This article proposed a Hybrid NOMA transmission scheme and analyzed the channel conditions assuming the known channel state in the NOMA systems. Here we analyze the sum rate of the proposed network based on different pairing schemes, in addition, we compared the sum rate based on different classical fading conditions including the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\eta-\mu$</tex> general fading technique. We also investigated, how the number of users in SC-NOMA is affected by different fading scenarios. The result shows that Hybrid NOMA can achieve the maximum sum rate when the near user is paired with the far user and the results are heavily dependent upon the channel fading conditions. Finally, we have analyzed the effect of fading upon the number of user's capacity limitations in the case of both TDMA-based hybrid-NOMA and single carrier-NOMA.
