Integration of Mechanisms for Video Distribution Between Clusters in a Hierarchical P2P Architecture
Video distribution and streaming have grown dramatically in the digital era. Everyday, people stream videos from different sites or share multimedia content with friends or coworkers. This paper presents an integration of video distribution mechanisms between clusters organized on a hierarchical P2P architecture. Inside of this architecture, peers are organized into small clusters that need interchange video blocks. After the contents have been distributed to all peers in a cluster, they can work as new source nodes for lower clusters in the hierarchical structure. This paper describes the flow control, caching and redistribution mechanisms, and how these mechanisms work together for video distribution.
