Architecture Design of Software Solution for Reliability Analysis
Reliability analysis is an important aspect when examining the characteristics of a system. This analysis can be divided into four main steps, in which the emphasis is placed on a different aspect of reliability analysis. Thus, it would be useful to have a software solution that could be used as a provider of the necessary tools in reliability analysis. This paper focuses on the design of such software. To create such a software solution, several important decisions need to be considered. One of them is to use the right architecture for the system, where easy extensibility with additional tools needs to be ensured. Another decision involves the form of communication of the individual tools in the software solution. And last but not least decision needs to be made about the data storage in the software solution based on the choice of the architecture and the form of communication. Therefore, this paper discusses each decision and reveals their strengths and weaknesses.
