Characteristic Parameters Retrieval of Frequency Selective Surfaces Based on Very Fast Simulated Annealling
This paper presents a retrieval method for the characteristic parameters of unit cells of Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) based on Very Fast Simulated Annealing (VFSA). The reflection coefficients is first calculated using Finite Difference Time Domain-based CST electromagnetic simulation software (FDTD-based CST). The characteristic parameters are then reconstructed by iteratively minimizing a cost function that quantifies the difference between numerical simulations and forward model estimations, which are repeatedly updated. Ultimately, the method culminates in the accurate calculation of the characteristic parameters for a FSS unit cell., thereby enhancing the efficiency and precision in the design and analysis of FSS structures.
