On Maximal Achievable Rate With Finite Blocklength in Quasi-Static SIMO/MIMO Channels
The analysis of maximal achievable rate in the finite blocklength regime provides a fundamental framework for the performance evaluation of ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC). This letter investigates the maximal achievable rate of multiple-antenna systems in quasi-static fading channels with finite blocklength, specifically focusing on massive uncorrelated antenna arrays and low latency scenarios. We first characterize the statistical properties of channel capacity and channel dispersion, and then derive analytical results for the maximal achievable rate. Simulation and numerical results demonstrate that the derived analytical expressions accurately characterize the performance bound of the maximal achievable rate with finite blocklength.
