Research on zero-sequence component method for cable fault location detection

Cable fault point detection is a critical aspect of power grid maintenance in electrical power systems. The accuracy, precision, and efficiency of cable fault point detection can directly impact the repair time of cable faults and are directly related to the stability of energy supply in the power grid and the efficiency of power system management. Therefore, this study focuses on the application value and effectiveness of the zero-sequence component method in cable fault point detection. By analyzing the structure of power cables and fault point detection methods and elucidating the mathematical model of zero-sequence component fault location, this study provides theoretical support. By introducing the content of cable fault point detection using the zero-sequence component method, the research is refined, and through case analysis, from a practical perspective, the practical application value of the zero-sequence component method in cable fault point detection is outlined. This further provides a reference for cable fault point detection and the stability, safety, and operational efficiency of power grid systems.
