[Maternal and neonatal outcomes of pregnancy after sleeve gastrectomy].

To analyze the maternal and neonatal outcomes of pregnancy after sleeve gastrectomy (SG), the clinical data of 20 pregnant women who had pregnancy after SG and received regular prenatal examinations and delivered in the obstetrics department of Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2018 to April 2024 were retrospectively collected. The weight gain during pregnancy, pregnancy complications, comorbidities and maternal and neonatal outcomes were observed. The age of the 20 pregnant women after SG was (33.9±3.5) years, the interval [<i>M</i>(<i>Q</i>1,<i>Q</i>3)] between SG and pregnancy was 28 (20, 57) months, 12 cases (60.0%) were overweight or obese before pregnancy, and the weight gain during pregnancy was (10.1±5.4) kg. There were 8 cases (40.0%) with hyperglycemia during pregnancy, 7 cases (35.0%) with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, 12 cases (60.0%) with anemia during pregnancy, and 7 cases (35.0%) with dyslipidemia. There were 21 newborns with the birth weight of (3 003.6±559.7) g. Among the newborns, there were 5 small for gestational age infants, and there were no macrosomia or large for gestational age infants. There were 10 cases (50.0%) of cesarean section, 10 cases (50.0%) of vaginal delivery, and 2 cases (10.0%) of postpartum hemorrhage. There were no deaths among the pregnant women or the newborns.Pregnancy after SG belongs to high-risk pregnancy. Pre-pregnancy health care and guidance should be strengthened, and after pregnancy, close attention should be paid to the related indicators of pregnancy metabolic diseases such as blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids as well as the weight gain during pregnancy to ensure the safety of mothers and infants.
