Effects of the Exercise Program using Waist Tools on the Physique, Physical Strength, Pain, and Spine Shape of Elementary School Boys with Back Pain during before Class in Elementary Schools

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of elementary school boys on their physique, physical strength, pain, and spine shape with a waist equipment program using class time in class 0. Methods Students with spinal pain were selected as the experimental group in the physical fitness test through the PAPS test as sixth-grade boys attending B University-affiliated elementary school in B Metropolitan City, and 15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group were those who did not. The exercise intensity of the waist revolution exercise program was classified into adaptation stage, advanced stage, and continuous stage, and the subjective difficulty level (RPE) was maintained from 13 to 17, and the exercise frequency was conducted four times a week, once for 35 minutes, and 12 weeks. This study conducted Paired t-test and Independent t-test to find out the differences in changes before and after the experiment and between groups according to the program implementation, and the statistical significance level was set at p<.05. Results There was no significant difference in body composition change when compared between groups. In the change in physical strength, there was a significant difference in grip strength(p<.001) and bending to the front of the upper body(p<.001) when compared between groups. In the change in pain angle, there was a significant difference when compared between groups(p<.05). In the change in spinal alignment, significant differences were shown in the degree of scoliosis(p<.001), lumbar curve(p<.05), pelvic distortion(p<.001), and pelvic tilt when compared between groups. Conclusions Taking the above results together, it is thought that the 12-week exercise program using waist tools positively affects physical strength, pain, and spine shape except for physique for elementary school boys with back pain, so that they can participate in more exercises and prevent spinal diseases by checking the spine shape and forming correct posture habits in elementary school.
