THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FISHING INDUSTRY FOR THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE MAGADAN REGION)

The article assesses the performance of the fishing industry of the Magadan Region in fulfilling its economic and social functions. A system of indicators is identified that allows assessing the impact of the fishing industry on the socio-economic development of the region. Problems in the development of the fisheries complex of the Magadan Region are identified and ways and solutions are proposed.
