Innovative application of power electronics technology in smart grid and its optimization strategy
Power electronics technology is a key technology for smart grids, playing a significant role in high-voltage direct current transmission (HVDC), flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS), intelligent switching, and power energy storage technologies. HVDC technology reduces energy losses in long-distance transmission, FACTS technology enhances the controllability of AC transmission systems, intelligent switching technology improves grid reliability, and power energy storage technology helps balance grid loads. In order to further optimize the application of power electronics technology in smart grid, this paper puts forward a series of measures, including using new semiconductor materials, modular design and improving control algorithm to reduce costs and improve efficiency. At the same time, information security and physical security protection have been strengthened. Through a practical case study, the effectiveness of these innovations and optimizations is verified, indicating that the power grid performance has been significantly improved. These research results will promote the development of smart grid technology and the continuous progress of power industry.
