Design of Smoldering Temperature Detection Device for Moxa Cones and Detection & Analysis of Core Temperature
Moxibustion belongs to acupuncture and has achieved remarkable results in the treatment of diseases in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. The smoldering temperature of moxa cones is one of the key quantitative parameters for analyzing their thermal effects. Aiming at the lack of effective instruments or equipment for the temperature test of the smoldering process of moxa cones, this manuscript proposes an experimental device that can detect the temperatures at multiple points during the smoldering process of moxa cones in real time. It is suitable for real-time temperature detection of small-volume smoldering bodies, and the modular design helps to improve the detection accuracy. Simultaneously, the layout and analysis of multiple temperature sensor placements were conducted. Ultimately, experimental measurements and data analysis were performed to determine the temperature along the central axis of the moxa cone during its smoldering phase. This provided detailed data and reliable basis for the thermal equivalent analyses and quantitative equivalent analyses of the whole smoldering process.
