THE USE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS OF THE CHENGYU (成语) TYPE IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE TEXTS: A PRAGMATIC ASPECT

This article is devoted to the pragmatic aspect of political discourse and the pragmatic function of phraseological units such as chengyu (成语) in political texts. By searching and continuously sampling phraseological units from news articles of political discourse on the Internet, the specifics of the use of chengyu are determined and their main functions are highlighted.
