Study on the Reform and Practice in Graduate English Teaching under Multimodal Teaching Mode

With the deepening of globalization, English, as the common language for international communication, is becoming more and more important. For postgraduates, having a solid English ability is the basic requirement for international academic exchanges, and it is also an indispensable advantage in the future workplace competition. However, the traditional postgraduate English teaching often pays too much attention to the teaching of language knowledge, ignoring the comprehensive cultivation of students’ practical language ability and innovative thinking. In order to overcome this limitation, the multimodal teaching mode has gradually emerged, which has brought new opportunities for the curriculum reform of graduate English. Through the combination of empirical analysis and theoretical discussion, this paper explores the application and effectiveness of multimodal teaching mode in graduate English teaching. The research aims to reveal how multimodal teaching can effectively promote the improvement of Postgraduates’ English comprehensive ability, and its unique advantages in stimulating students' innovative thinking and improving teaching effect.
