PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN DAN APLIKASI PESTISIDA NABATI UNTUK PENGENDALIAN HAMA PADA TANAMAN CENGKIH

Community service activities (PkM) were carried out in Negeri Ureng, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency in October 2024, with the aim of transferring knowledge to the community regarding the manufacture and application of vegetable pesticides to control pests on clove plants. The activity stages carried out in PkM activities are the preparation and implementation stages of activities with the delivery of educational material with the title 1) Vegetable Pesticides and their types 2). Types of Pests and Diseases and Symptoms of Attacks on Clove Plants. 3) Control of Pests and Diseases in Clove Plants Using Vegetable Pesticides. Training on the manufacture and application of botanical pesticides is the right solution to overcome pest problems in clove plants effectively and sustainably. This activity aims to provide knowledge and skills to farmers regarding how to mix plant-based pesticides from natural ingredients that are easily available around them, as well as the correct application method to ensure effectiveness in controlling pests. Through this training, it is hoped that farmers can apply botanical pesticides in their cultivation practices, so that pest attacks on clove plants can be controlled without damaging the environment or endangering health. The impact received by the people of Ureng Country is that through this PkM activity, it is hoped that clove farmers can apply vegetable pesticides independently in order to maintain environmental sustainability and increase productivity as well as helping farmers in Ureng Country to understand and apply the manufacture and use of vegetable pesticides in managing clove plants.
