Design on-Chip GaAs Waveguide Towards Supercontinuum Generation
The influence of waveguide dimensional parameters on light propagation characteristics within a rectangular GaAs waveguide was investigated. The structured waveguides presented in this study exhibit an ultra-flattened dispersion curve over a wavelength range extending from 3.5 μm to 12 μm, specifically in proximity to the zero-dispersion line. These findings significantly contribute to the field, paving the way for advanced applications such as supercontinuum generation, frequency conversion, and the creation of frequency combs within broad bandwidths.
