Research on Heart Rate Signal Detection Technology Based on Hough Transform
Radar-based vital sign detection technology, especially for heart rate detection, has a wide range of application prospects in the fields such as medical monitoring, disaster rescue. A novel signal processing scheme is proposed for accurate heart rate detection in this paper. Initially, during the preprocessing phase, the phase ambiguity issue resulting from directly applying the inverse tangent function is addressed using the extended differential and cross-multiplication (DACM) algorithm. Secondly, a novel method for identifying and suppressing respiration harmonics, referred to as IHT, is proposed. This method is based on Hough transformation, parallel and serial searching methods, and the Chirp-Z Transform (CZT), which improves the accuracy of heart rate estimation and reduces computation time. On this basis, Kalman filtering (KF) is utilized for smoothing and denoising. Finally, the CZT high-precision frequency estimation algorithm is used for spectrum analysis and heart rate estimation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the mean absolute error (Mae) of the proposed method is 0.95bpm, which is 1.23bpm better than the original Hough transform method.
