Report on the 5th International Workshop on Algorithmic Bias in Search and Recommendation (BIAS 2024) at SIGIR 2024
The Fifth International Workshop on Algorithmic Bias in Search and Recommendation (BIAS 2024) was organized as a physical (in-person) event, with online attendance support, that took place on July 18th, 2024, in conjunction with the 47th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval (SIGIR 2024) in Washington D.C., USA. The workshop aimed to collect novel contributions in the field and offer common ground to facilitate discussions and collaboration for interested researchers and practitioners. The program included two keynote talks from Bhaskar Mitra (Microsoft Research) and Nil-Jana Akpinar (Amazon Web Services) and seven paper presentations. Date : 18 July 2024.
