PROTECTIVE FACTORS OF BUSINESS RESILIENCE: A POST-PANDEMIC ANALYSIS AMONG HOMEGROWN RESTAURANTS

Post-pandemic business resilience research is essential for economic recovery, firm survival, and community well-being, especially for the homegrown restaurants. While previous studies provide a foundation, a focused investigation into the unique challenges and opportunities post-pandemic is vital. Thus, this study was conducted to assess how social capital, digital transformation, managers' level of risk resilience attributes, financial leverage, and competition could influence business resilience among homegrown restaurants in Cagayan de Oro City after the pandemic. The study utilized a descriptive research design involving 121 respondents, of whom 11 are owners and 110 are managers of homegrown restaurants in Cagayan de Oro City. Using a structured survey questionnaire, the study found that social capital, financial leverage, and competition significantly influence business resilience among homegrown restaurants in Cagayan de Oro City. On the other hand, the study found no evidence to support the idea that digital transformation and managers' risk resilience attributes influence the level of business resilience. The results highlight the importance of social connections and networks, effective capital management, and the ability to manage competitive dynamics in improving a restaurant's ability to adapt and thrive in the face of post-pandemic challenges.
