Theoretical and Numerical Approaches towards Biomolecular Phase Separation
Biomolecular phase separation is one of the fundamental processes in cells, compartmentalizing the cellular space in a relatively short time. The molecular mechanisms governing phase separation remain an active area of research. This article explores theoretical and computational approaches to studying phase separation, including analytical approaches, particle-based simulations, field-based simulations, and machine-learning techniques. By integrating these approaches, we can deepen our understanding of phase separation and its role in cellular organization and disease.
