Monitoring, phytosanitary forecast of the appearance and spread of winter scoops in winter wheat agrocenoses in the Ryazan region

Winter wheat is the leading grain crop of the Ryazan region, and it has important economic and social significance. Its crops occupy more than 30% of the area of grain and leguminous crops, and production volumes account for 50-55% of the total gross grain harvest in the region. Like any other crop, winter wheat needs to be protected from a complex of harmful objects that can cause great harm already at the stage of germination of the plant. Such pests in the Ryazan region include the second-generation winter scooper, which, being a minor pest of grain crops, is capable of completely destroying winter wheat crops in some years due to an outbreak of numbers. In this paper, the morphological and biological features of the winter owl are considered, as well as the results of monitoring its abundance in the SEC "Nadezhda" of the Ermishinsky district (northeast of the Ryazan region) and the agrotechnological experimental station of RGATU (northwest of the Ryazan region) in the spring-summer-autumn season. Winter wheat is the leading grain crop of the Ryazan region, and it has important economic and social significance. Its crops occupy more than 30% of the area of grain and leguminous crops, and production volumes account for 50-55% of the total gross grain harvest in the region. Such pests in the Ryazan region include the second-generation winter scooper, which, being a minor pest of grain crops, is capable of completely destroying winter wheat crops in some years due to an outbreak of numbers.
