Correlation between horizontal visible iris diameter and length of iris with mesiodistal width and cervicoincisal length of the maxillary central incisor with digital image analysis as a predictor for denture aesthetic- Observational Analytical study
This study explores the correlation between the horizontal visible iris diameter (HVID) and the visible iris length with the mesiodistal width and cervicoincisal length of the maxillary central incisor using digital image analysis. Accurate anterior teeth selection plays a critical role in denture aesthetics, influencing facial harmony and psychological well-being1. While previous studies suggest some correlations between ocular and dental dimensions, the reliability of these metrics for anterior tooth selection remains uncertain. This study aims to assess whether such correlations can offer predictive value for selecting anterior teeth in edentulous patients.
