Delphi technique in identifying set of criteria for selection of maintenance strategy for large power user metering system
Selecting maintenance strategies is a crucial decision that requires a thorough understanding of their complexity. Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods can help in this process by providing a structured approach. MCDA methods require alternatives and comparison criteria. The selection of maintenance strategies necessitates careful evaluation of criteria that significantly influence machine performance or the achievement of company objectives. This study aims to identify a set of criteria that will be evaluated in selecting a maintenance strategy for large power user metering system. The authors used the Delphi technique to identify the criteria. From criteria generated from literature and interviews, a panel of experts was surveyed using the Delphi technique to rate the importance of criteria in selecting maintenance strategy for large power user metering system. The study identified a set of criteria that can be grouped into safety, economic, feasibility, technical, organisational, and quality categories.
