Steroid Versus Non-steroid Intraoperative Multimodal Periarticular Injection in Simultaneous Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasty Using Real Intelligence CORI: Comparative Observational Study on Postoperative Pain and Early Functional Recovery

This study demonstrated that the adjunctive use of methylprednisolone in a periarticular intraoperative multimodal cocktail injection significantly improved the postoperative pain and functional outcomes following TKA. Specifically, the addition of methylprednisolone resulted in reduced postoperative pain scores with increased ROM (degrees) and greater active SLR (degrees) compared to the conventional multimodal periarticular cocktail injection.
