COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SUCKER ROD PUMP DRIVE MECHANISMS
This study investigates technological advancements aimed at improving the energy and economic efficiency of sucker rod pumps (SRPs), a critical component in onshore oil production. SRPs are widely utilized in the industry due to their reliability and adaptability, yet their operational efficiency and longevity are often limited by the capabilities of their drive mechanisms. The research focuses on analyzing the characteristics, advantages, and limitations of various drive mechanisms currently employed in the modern oil industry. The study underscores the importance of adopting innovative drive mechanism technologies to address inefficiencies and improve performance. Key technical and functional challenges, such as energy losses, mechanical wear, and system reliability are examined to determine their impact on the overall efficiency and lifespan of SRPs. By identifying these challenges, the research aims to propose optimal solutions that integrate advanced technologies and design modifications to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. This research provides a detailed evaluation of drive mechanisms, offering insights into their role in improving SRP systems. The findings contribute to a better understanding of how technological advancements can enhance the performance and sustainability of oil extraction processes, paving the way for further innovation in the field.
