Functional model of integrated dental services management system
Subject. The article discusses the dental services management system. Objectives. The study aims to investigate socio-economic processes, models and management tools of dental organizations of all organizational and legal forms in the provision of dental services, propose tools for managing the development of dental medical organizations and develop standard projects of decision support systems with the prospect of their integration into existing dental information and analytical systems. Methods. To increase the transparency and validity of management decisions, I developed a functional model of integrated dental services management system in the methodology of structural system analysis and design in IDEF0 notation, using the AllFusion software product. Results. I developed an effective functional model of integrated dental services management system. Its main advantages are to obtain specific correspondence between all components of the interaction between officials of a dental organization and customers of dental services. The system’s introduction is economically justified and will not lead to any significant financial costs. Conclusions. If implemented, the dental services management system will reduce the volume and time of work of the organization's personnel in the process of managing dental services due to specifically defined responsibilities and functions of each element of the system; significantly simplify the procedure for collecting, systematizing, and analyzing input information; streamline the procedure for developing a decision-making policy by organization's personnel; enable to qualitatively improve financial performance depending on patients’ requirements.
