RELAÇÃO ENTRE NEUROTRANSMISSORES E O COMPORTAMENTO ECONÔMICO-FINANCEIRO
This study aims to conduct a literature review on the relationship between neurotransmitters and economic-financial behavior, shedding light on how brain neurochemistry affects and influences decision-making in the economic-financial landscape. By reviewing neuroeconomics studies, the research discusses the key neurotransmitters involved in this process—such as dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine—as well as their effects on choice, impulse, and financial behavior. The study adopts a qualitative approach, relying on a literature review of recent scientific publications from reputable platforms that explore the effects of neurotransmitters on neuroeconomic behavior. The findings indicate that neurotransmitters play a crucial role in regulating economic decisions, impacting various aspects such as risk aversion, reward-seeking, consumption patterns, and investment behaviors. However, despite being a current and relevant topic across multiple fields of human knowledge, research on the effects of neurotransmitters on economic-financial behavior remains limited and scarce, particularly in our country, highlighting the need for further studies in this area.
