It has been observed that yogic practices promote health during old age. OBJECTIVE: To design and validate the Yoga protocol for quality of life and health of elderly people. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this study, the designing of a Yoga protocol was done based on the traditional and contemporary literature on Yoga . A total of 39 yogic practices for the health and quality of life of the elderly were selected and graded on a Likert scale of 1–5. This protocol was validated by 28 Yoga experts possessing a minimum of 5 years’ experience. For the validation of each yogic practice, the content validity ratio (CVR) was calculated. RESULTS: According to the opinion of Yoga experts, out of a total of 39 yogic practices, 30 scored significant CVR (≥0.37) related to health and quality of life among older people. CONCLUSION: This designed Yoga protocol holds promise for improving the quality of life and health of the elderly. Furthermore, its feasibility and clinical effectiveness in the elderly is recommended.
