Penerapan Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Augmented Reality Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the application of discovery learning model assisted by digital augmented reality media to improve students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi-exsperiment with the non-equivalent group design. The research population was class VII students. Purposive sampling was used for sample selection. Pretest-posttest questions, learner response questionnaire, and augmented reality media were used as research instruments. Data analysis includes prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), as well as the effectiveness of the N-Gain score. The results showed that the application of discovery learning model assisted by augmented reality has better effectiveness to improve students' critical thinking skills than without augmented reality with N-Gain percentage of 69.64% (quite effective) and 46.45% (less effective). The results of student learning responses show that the application of the discovery learning model assisted by augmented reality has an average of 91.36% (very good), while the discovery learning model without augmented reality only gets 72.15% (good).
