Improved PSO Parameter Identification-Based Composite STSM Controller for BLDC Drives
This paper designs a composite super-twisting sliding mode(STSM) controller for brushless direct current motor (BLDC) based on an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for parameter identification. The conventional sliding mode surface is enhanced to a non-singular integral terminal sliding mode surface, and a composite STSM control strategy is introduced, which boasts the advantages of reduced chattering, rapid convergence, and minimal influence from external disturbances. Additionally, to address the issue of rotor inertia affecting controller performance, an improved PSO algorithm is employed for identification. This improved PSO algorithm optimizes the inertia weight by incorporating the distance between the particle's best position and the swarm's global best position and enhances the individual and social learning factors with hyperbolic functions, resulting in high precision and fast identification speed.
