Design and Implementation of Digital Array Radar for UAV Detection
This paper presents the design and implementation process of a digital array radar system for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) monitoring. The digital section of the radar employs multiple FPGA boards, which operate in coordination to achieve radar waveform generation, echo signal acquisition, and data transmission functions. The paper first provides a detailed description of the overall radar system design, including the antenna and RF subsystems, intermediate frequency (IF) digital transceiver subsystem, data transmission subsystem, and signal processing modules. Subsequently, field experiments were conducted using the developed radar system. The collected echo data were used to evaluate the radar's UAV detection performance and elevation coverage range. The results demonstrated the system's performance indicators and the feasibility of the platform for UAV detection.
