Outage Analysis of Two-Way Full-Duplex RIS-Assisted V2V Networks with User Selection
This paper analyses the outage performance of a two-way full-duplex (TWFD) reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS)-assisted vehicular-to-vehicular (V2V) network. We focus on a multi-user scenario, where a single vehicle user (VU) engages in bidirectional communication with one of the selected VU among multiple VUs via RIS. A strategic selection approach is employed to identify the VU that maximizes the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). All vehicular links are modelled as double Nakagami-m fading. We derive closed-form expressions for the outage probability (OP) and the asymptotic outage probability (AOP) for the high SNR region. Numerical results are given to analyse the performance of the proposed V2V system with respect to the various system parameters.
