The Improvement of wavelet threshold method and its application in geological radar detection

The geological radar signal with high signal-to-noise ratio is the key to the accuracy of tunnel geological prediction. During geological radar detection, due to the influence of complex surroundings, the radar data collected contains various interference signals, which reduces the signal quality, directly affects the interpretation of geological conditions by interpreters, and affects the accuracy of tunnel geological prediction. Therefore, an optimized threshold method is proposed to denoise the signal and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The soft threshold method is optimized from two aspects: the selection of the optimal threshold value and the selection of the optimal threshold function, and is verified by the simulation experiment. Results, which are compared from three aspects: the improvement of signal-to-noise ratio, the decrease of mean square error and the denoising effect, show that the improved method is better than the soft and hard threshold method. The improved method can be applied to the actual radar data interference signal processing, and can improve the signal to noise ratio and restore the signal better.
