Simulation study on lightning protection of 35kV transmission line and selection of surge arrester valve parameter based on ATP-EMTP
In 35kV transmission lines, the intrusion of large-value lightning current often leads to short-circuit faults in the lines. In order to study the fault mechanism, this paper uses ATP-EMTP simulation software to construct an electromagnetic transient simulation model of transmission lines. By simulating the intrusion of large-value lightning current, we analyze its impact on the stability of the transmission system, and specifically study the fault conditions caused by lightning current counterattack. In addition, this study also carries out an exhaustive simulation analysis of the parameter selection of the arrester valves, with a view to optimizing the performance of the arrester and improving the lightning resistance of the transmission line. These simulation results provide an important reference for the lightning protection of 35kV transmission lines.
