Secrecy and Reliability Analysis of UAV Enabled Communications with RF Energy Harvesting
In this study, we consider an unmanned aerial ve-hicle (UAV) relay to facilitate secure and reliable communication between the base station and an intended Internet of Things device in the presence of a terrestrial eavesdropper. The energy harvesting and artificial noise injection methods are adopted at the UAV relay to enhance the lifetime and security of the communication network. We derive closed-form expressions of secrecy outage probability and secrecy throughput by utilizing the Rician fading model to characterize channels between the nodes. Moreover, we delve into the secrecy-reliability tradeoff (SRT) through closed-form expressions of outage and intercept probability. Finally, the analytical results are corroborated with the simulation findings, which illustrate the influence of different system and channel parameters on the network's security and SRT, offering key insights into the system's behavior.
